Materials research is a major project: keeping current is difficult, and things go stale fast. Some universities have built portals, but they often go stale.

Since designing for product sustainability often involves choreographing a whole system, some sense of the appropriateness of the materials, & in what contexts, would be great; a perfect world would gift us a green-materials Thomas Register. Like Oikos, only for small things.
